What "Pure Michigan" Means

As a life-long Michigan native who loves this state I hate to be a killjoy, but is it possible to come up with a more lackluster and unoriginal tagline for Michigan than PURE MICHIGAN? It isn't at all clever, imitates "Pure Detroit," and invites controversy especially at a time that Michigan is dealing with the very real issues of Canadian dumping and polluted Great Lakes. Pure Michigan is no call to action and doesn't conjure up much beyond a lack of inspiration on the part of its creators. After years of waiting for a new campaign, I expected better for the state and from the state.
