"The Underground Railroad Quilt" Exhibit, Plymouth Featuring Civil War era quilts and quilt patterns which focus on the secret "messages" of quilts and their patterns to help escaping slaves move along the Underground Railroad. Using the quilt code from the book, Hidden in Plain View, the language of quilts will lead visitors through the exhibit as they decipher the quilt codes just as the slaves did to find their way to freedom.
