Michigan Radio's Northern Arts Series
Michigan Radio's Jennifer Guerra recently took a trip to northern lower Michigan to explore the ties between art & community. One of her stops was Chad Pastotnik's Deep Wood Press studio in Mancelona to learn about the centuries old art of letterpress. Also features on Bay Bucks, the Art Farm and Earthworks Music.

Winds of Change?
A new report titled Michigan's Offshore Wind Potential from the Land Policy Institute at Michigan State University says that Michigan has the potential to become a big player in offshore wind energy. At the same time, the Federal Government has also issued a report that investment in coal is now more expensive than wind.

Change a Light, Change Michigan
Starting October 1st compact fluorescent light bulbs will be available at an unbeatable price: 99 cents at participating Meijer, Kroger, and Menard’s stores, as well as seven Lansing-area and three Upper Peninsula Ace Hardware stores. At that price, these bulbs are sure to fly off the shelves.
